Ring in the New Year on our first ever trip to Belize! We will be partnering with Belize Base Camp. They are located just on the outskirts of Belmopan, the capital city of Belize. Their heart is to partner teams with local ministries to help serve however they may need. They will look at the makeup of the team and the needs of the community to plan an itinerary for the week. This may include serving in an orphanage and doing VBS, sports ministry, and building projects at the local schools but they have also had teams put on Christian concerts in the park, host movie nights in remote villages as well as visiting senior centers. One project this specific team may work on is building a raised garden bed for a local ministry – the cost for this is already built into your total trip cost. There will also be a full day of adventure (also included in the cost) of zip-lining, BBQ and cave tubing!
Because this is our first ever trip to Belize, this team will be learning about the ministry there and helping Go Be Love develop a plan, along with our partners, to most effectively minister in Belize. You will be laying a foundation for future trips and teams. Please prayerfully consider joining this pioneer team to Belize!
Introductory- This trip is great for both first-timers and those that have been on many trips. Because travel time is relatively short, this trip is a great way to serve in a time that fits your schedule.
This trip is appropriate for individuals and families. If you are pregnant or think you might be during this trip, please check with your doctor and the trip coordinator before planning to travel.
9 and over with a parent, 15 and over without.

Belize Team Leader
My name is Cynthia Hensley and I live in Elkin, NC with my husband, Roger. He serves as the pastor of First Baptist Church in Jonesville, NC. I recently retired to stay home with my granddaughter, Elizabeth. I have two children, Daniel (wife Krissy) and Christina.
My passion for working with children started many years ago while serving as a GA camp counselor. During that summer, I learned about missionaries around the world and felt a strong calling to work with children. Different missionaries attended camp every week to teach us about God’s love (his hands and feet) across the world.
It is this passion that led me to the Go Be Love organization in 2013. I’ve grown in Christ through every experience, learning hands on experience of how to serve more effectively. I truly believe in the importance of serving as Christ’s hands and feet to children in every opportunity. I count it a blessing to have served as a Go Be Love team member in Bahamas, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Haiti and China. During those trips, my passion for children continued to grow stronger. I look forward to this opportunity to be a Servant Leader to the team traveling to the Belize in 2019.
