COVID-19 & Go Be Love Update

COVID-19 & Go Be Love Update

Dear Friend of Go Be Love International,

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, Go Be Love has suspended all operations through the end of the year.  All 2020 mission trips have been cancelled and new trips will be scheduled in 2021, upon the successful global resolution of the COVID-19 crisis and stabilization of international travel. We do this with the sincere hope of bringing the ministry back, better than ever, when the time is right and as Jesus provides.

For the last 15 years, the mission of Go Be Love has been committed to GOING. But today, our call as responsible global citizens is to stay. During this time, Go Be Love urges all of our faithful friends and supporters to consider how you might “Stay Be Love” in your local community. Though these are uncertain times, we take comfort in the knowledge that none of this has surprised our sovereign Lord. We will get through this together and by His grace.

With Heavy Hearts,
The Go Be Love Team: Shelly, Autumn, Jean Ann, Frank, and Casi

FAQ regarding the operational suspension of Go Be Love International

When is this operational suspension happening?

Go Be Love will officially suspend operations on Tuesday, March 31st. Our Board of Directors will reconvene on July 1, 2020 to assess the situation, both globally and in each of the mission fields where we send out teams. At this time, we do not have an official reopen date.

What if I was already signed up for a trip before this closure?

Our team has been working diligently to contact every team member individually. You should have already heard from a Go Be Love staff person if you were signed up for a 2020 or 2021 mission trip. If you have not heard from us (check your junk email), please email your questions to: Autumn.Kerr@GoBeLoveInternational.org.

When will 2021 trips be added?

Go Be Love will resume operations upon the successful global resolution of the COVID-19 crisis and stabilization of international travel. Once we are able to reopen, we will begin working on future trips, keeping in mind that COVID-19 may have greatly impacted our partner ministries and missionaries around the world and some facets of International travel may have changed.

How can I help Go Be Love as a ministry or support the staff during this operational suspension?

Prayer is #1. Please pray for our ministry, our staff, our team members and leaders and our many ministry partners around the world.

Financial support is #2. We would be so grateful for any amount you are able to give during our operational suspension. All funds will be used to help support our staff and for basic ongoing maintenance. Click HERE to donate.

Should I fundraise for my future trip?

While you are certainly welcome to create a Go Fund Me or fundraise on your own for a future mission trip, we recommend waiting until we reopen to begin fundraising through Go Be Love.

What if I have a question before Go Be Love reopens?

While operations are suspended, Go Be Love will have no paid staff. However, our team is dedicated to seeing Go Be Love succeed. Staff have volunteered to answer emails even during the closure. Please be patient when waiting for a response, keeping in mind that the ministry is technically closed during this time. If you would like to support our staff during this closure, financial contributions can be be made here. Please type “staff support” in the notes under donation info.

How will I know when the ministry reopens and begins adding 2021 trips?

The best way to find out when we reopen is to sign up for our email list HERE. You can also find out via our facebook or instagram page.
