Uganda with SafariMay 31 - June 11, 2020
Trip Cost: $2100 + airfare (with safari)
As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to experience the beauty and diversity of Uganda.
This team will experience a day in Bwerenga Village just outside of the capital city of Kampala. While there, you’ll meet Pastor Earnest and Mama Catherine. Their beautiful love story is one of surrender, sacrifice, heartache, giving and restoration. You’ll attend their local church, worship with their congregation, hear about their ministry, and if you’re lucky, Mama just might make Sunday dinner for you!
The team will also travel to the beautiful countryside town of Jinja. Jinja is located on Lake Victoria which is the source of the Nile River. There, you will serve alongside several local ministry partners including Sole Hope. You will learn all about the work Sole Hope is doing to combat the jigger problem in Uganda. Sole Hope conducts weekly medical clinics, educates locals how to prevent and treat wounds, and provides jobs to Ugandan men and women. Team members will serve alongside this partner at one of their clinic sites. You’ll also visit the Hope Center where the most severe cases are treated on a long-term basis. Along with treatment and care, Ugandans are educated and loved. Here, you’ll also tour the workshop where the iconic Sole Hope shoes are made.
Jinja is also home to many full-time missionaries. Team members will get the opportunity to collect, carry, and deliver much needed and favorite items to these missionaries while taking time to visit with and pray over them as they serve far from all that is convenient, familiar and comfortable.
A unique part of this trip is an excursion to Murchison Falls. There you’ll stay at a safari resort, experience a safari drive, boat ride, and waterfall hike.
There’s no doubt that every aspect of this 2 week adventure will be uniquely beautiful. Don’t wait! Sign up today to Go.Be.Love: Uganda 2020!
Community ministry, missionary care, community outreach, family ministry, orphan care and SAFARI!
This trip is appropriate for individuals, families and groups who are able to handle long travel times, walking, rides on bumpy roads, long days and the difficulties involved in seeing impoverished and difficult conditions. There will be a lot of in-country travel on this particular trip because of the safari portion. If you are pregnant or think you might be during this trip, please check with your doctor and trip coordinator before planning to travel.
18 and over.
